On Tuesday 14th May, Apex Stainless Fasteners attended as an exhibitor for the Torque Expo 2024 event at The International Exhibition Centre in Telford. The event is run every 2 years, focusing on fasteners, tools and distribution. This year there were 50 exhibitors on show, which demonstrates a growing interest in delivering UK-based events.
Torque Expo provides a full day of great networking opportunities. It is attended by many fastener companies from across the UK, Europe and even as far away as Japan.
This year Apex had two stands, one for Apex Stainless and another for Aerotight Manufacturing.
Stands were attended by the Rugby and Bilston sales teams. Phil Barnes from Aerotight Manufacturing and Jason Lloyd, eCommerce & Marketing Manager also attended.
Meeting customers at Torque Expo
The staff had a wonderful time meeting some incredible people, including existing customers, new customer prospects, industry contacts and other exhibitors. During the day, stands were well attended, supported by an event seminar program, and a lively canteen area.
Customers learnt of Apex’s exciting upcoming projects, such as the new ERP system in use, the web shop in development, move to new premises for the Bilston team. It also enabled Apex to showcase new product launches including the shoulder socket screw range and investments into automated CNC machinery for Aerotight Manufacturing.
Apex’s Commercial Director Gordon Davies commented:
“Torque Expo was a good day meeting our customers and some potential new prospects. It was great to meet customers in person and inform them about what’s going on at Apex. We are excited about all the changes, and what this will mean for the future.”
The company also conducted a prize draw for a £500 voucher to spend at the Belfry, which was won by a customer of Apex:
Andrew Lawrence, Purchasing Manager from Reca-UK Ltd – congratulations Andrew!
Overall, the event was a tremendous success thanks to the efforts of Apex and Aerotight Manufacturing’s attending staff, and the Torque Expo team.
Until next time!
