Our first two recipients are thoroughly deserving of the honour.
Nathan Jones, IT & Business Intelligence Executive
Nathan has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to keeping Apex’s IT infrastructure running smoothly, consistently, reliably, and well outside the boundaries of his core role. When Apex fitted out its new building, it was Nathan who set up the entire IT environment from the ground up - every computer, every Wi-Fi connection, every printer, and every user profile - ensuring the team could hit the ground running from day one.
He has also built a suite of operational tools used daily by the operations team - practical solutions that have quietly become part of how Apex works. Nathan’s willingness to take ownership, solve problems, and deliver results before it was ever formally his responsibility speaks volumes about his character. He is a lively force behind the scenes, and we’re glad to put the spotlight firmly on him.
Andrew Waplington, Buyer
Andrew earned his Apex Legends hoodie for his invaluable support during one of the company’s most significant recent milestones - the Apex Rugby office relocation. Moving premises is no small undertaking, and Andrew played a critical role in making sure the transition went as smoothly as possible.
From supporting the packing process in the lead-up to the move, to being a steady, reliable presence throughout the moving weekend itself, Andrew ensured that the operation ran without a hitch; all while continuing to fulfil his responsibilities day-to-day. His contribution exemplified exactly the kind of team spirit and dedication that Apex is proud to nurture.
