The Aerotight Nut is one of the most popular products available in the Apex range, and it has been a mainstay of the fastener industry for more than 50 years.
Apex incorporates an in-house manufacturing division based in the heart of the Midlands at Leicester. And this facility is geared towards the production of the renowned Aerotight® All Metal Stainless Steel Self-Locking Nut.
The Aerotight® is an All Metal Stiff Nut and can be re-used many times due its self-locking function. It remains effective, even when used several times for instance. The nut is designed to stay in position whether tightened down or not, provided the locking element is engaged, but it does not have to achieve recommended torque to be effective.
No additional parts are required for Aerotight® to function, and therefore no special tools are needed for its application.
The company sells customised specials, including the Thin Aerotight®. And added to this, larger diameter sizes of Aerotight are available upon request.
The Aerotight nut is available in other materials and supplied in a range of plated finishes if required.
