Bumax crafts the 88 product line from premium grade A4/316L low carbon stainless steel. The products feature a high molybdenum content that provides exceptional corrosion resistance, surpassing that of standard A4/316 stainless steel fasteners. This range boasts a minimum tensile strength of 800 MPa and minimum yield strength of 640 MPa, making Bumax 88 more robust than conventional A4-80. The products are comparable in strength to carbon steel 8.8 products.
Bumax 88 also exhibits outstanding fatigue resistance, outperforming traditional fasteners.
Apex has expanded the existing A4 inventory to include Bumax 88 Socket Cap Screws and Socket Countersunk Screws. These are now available for ordering with UK next-day delivery and same-day despatch for export customers*.
In addition, products from this range also include Hexagon Full Nuts and Head Screws (both Full/Part Thread), and Flat Washers, with more coming soon.
Furthermore, Bumax® 109, an A4/316L stainless steel in strength class 100 (with a minimum tensile strength of 1,000 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 900 MPa), is now available on request. Additionally, other product grades available include SDX 109 (super-duplex stainless with strength equivalent to grade 10.9) and DX 129 (duplex stainless with strength equivalent to grade 12.9). Moreover, both grades provide even greater strength and enhanced corrosion resistance.
